Of the Earth


Taking Care of the Earth is another important part of being a Christian Steward. God entrusted us to care for the Earth, therefore we must do what we can to sustain it. Wednesday posts will be dedicated to "Worldly Resources" including tips, lists, and resources to help everyone care for the world we live in!

1. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle & COMPOST at St. Hilary.  
Only throw away what you cannot reuse, recycle or compost. Be sure you're placing debris in the correct container around the parish so no more than is necessary ends up in the landfills. The Creation Care Ministry will be replacing the waste bins at the parish with color coded and labeled bins for easier sorting of trash. Play an active roll, as Pope Francis I said: "All those who have positions of responsibility in economic, political and social life...[be] protectors of creation, protectors of God’s plan inscribed in nature, protectors of one another and of the environment. Let us not allow omens of destruction and death to accompany the advance of this world!”
